VISIONS OF AFRICA: A MULTI-MEDIA MUSICAL JOURNEY
Performed by Arkestra Africa, an 11-member New York-based Afro Beat and Jazz band, is an immersive experience and musical retrospective that celebrates the vibrant cultural tapestry and music scene in Ghana and Nigeria during the 60s and 70s.

The festival concerts and performances are for all ages. They will feature a fusion of African music genres and dance forms from Ghana, Guinea, Senegal, and Cuba, as well as more contemporary forms such as Afro-Cuban, House, Rock, Hi-Life, Hip Hop, Jazz, and modern dance.
Special theme performances include HIP HOP KINGDOM, a musical for schools tributing the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop music performed by the new Asase Yaa Theater Company comprised of professional non-union actors; LEGACY, a dance performance by the 16-member Asase Yaa Youth Ensemble and IFE Youth Dance Theater; VISIONS OF AFRICA: A MULTI-MEDIA MUSICAL JOURNEY, a multi-media immersive music experience capturing the explosion of the African music movement in New York City during the 60s and 70s, performed by the eleven-member New York-based Afro Beat and Jazz ensemble Arkestra Africa.
